Ayumi Hamasaki

Everyone that has heard of the term JPop has heard of the name Ayumi Hamasaki. She is Japan's biggest pop star. Actually, not even Japan. Heck, I first heard of her when I wasn't even in Japan. I was in Taiwan. I saw a billboard the size of Texas on a skyscraper promoting her new "A BEST" album that was coming out at the time. She can make like 2 albums a year and still make it to number one on charts for months. How does she do this? BIG EYEBALLS. Take a look at her not-so-great looking face. Notice her eyeballs.They are monstrous. Yet, they are Asian eyeballs. What a paradox. Visit any JPop forum and they will be discussing whether Ayumi had surgery on her eyeballs. (She claims she has never had surgery.) But it doesn't matter. The fact that Asian kids care so much about her personal life with her eyes show a lot about Asian culture.
