at the hospital i was at, there was a 33 year old patient that had been in the hospital for over 6 months. he was an alcoholic and drank until his pancreas failed and fell apart. each day in the hospital costs like $2000, so i wonder who is going to pay for that after he is discharged. i really doubt he will be able to take the cost on himself. will the hospital eat the cost? i doubt it. who will pay?
